YOUR MOMENTS⏳ | MY PASSION 📸

"Build relationships before you need them."

I've never forgotten those words from T. Dallas Smith.

Relationships aren't transactions. They're investments.

This story started long before I picked up my camera.

It started with Mike Byers, a childhood friend and high school basketball teammate. Through Mike, I recently connected with Michael Dugan. Watching the two of them build something together has been inspiring, and that connection led me to an opportunity I never saw coming.

At the BIG3 Tournament, I had the chance to meet Brad Jordan, better known as Scarface.

Growing up, his music was part of the soundtrack of my life. While I've met a lot of incredible people over the years, I never imagined I'd one day shake his hand, have a conversation with him, and photograph him performing live.

It was one of those moments where everything came together.

As I looked through the images afterward, I realized the story wasn't really about meeting Scarface.

It was about relationships.

A childhood friendship led to a new connection. That connection opened a door. That door became a conversation. And that conversation became a photograph I'll always remember.

Photography has taken me to places I never expected and introduced me to people I'll never forget. But the best moments rarely begin with a camera.

They begin with people.

Through My Lens

The older I get, the more I'm convinced that the best investment we can make is in relationships. You never know where they'll lead, but they almost always lead somewhere meaningful.
