One of my favorite things about photography is discovering how connected our stories really are.
A friend and client introduced me to his sister, Lezette Young, the founder of ChulaVie Sangria. I met her at Rips Wine & Spirit Shop in Bowie, MD, where she was sharing her handcrafted sangria with customers and introducing people to the brand she's worked so hard to build.
As we talked, we realized our paths had crossed long before that day.
Years ago, Lezette worked in the title industry at a company where I know the owner well. Our worlds had been connected all along. We just hadn't met yet.
Today, her story looks very different.
She's building a business from the ground up, turning a passion into a brand and creating experiences that bring people together.
Moments like this remind me that careers are rarely linear. They evolve. People take risks, discover new passions, and sometimes find themselves exactly where they're meant to be.
It was a privilege to document a small part of Lezette's journey.
